Technicians can use this device to ensure the signal source and HDMI cable functionality on the first visit, even if the installation site does not have a display, saving time and hassle by eliminating future truck rolls and service complaints. A technician can power-up and connect the new HDMI Tester with LCD Display effortlessly, and within minutes, use this tester to set up a new system or troubleshoot a problem in an existing system.

The device allows the technician to connect the Set-Top Box (STB) directly to the handheld HDMI display tester to show full 1080p Audio/Video, confirming that the STB is 100% operational and browse all channels needed to verify channel line up.

This HDMI tester provides the technician (or any user) with an HD LCD screen to check that the set-top box is installed correctly. This LCD display provides both audio and video display and also gives you the ability to do a 19-pin continuity check. The technician (or any user) does not need a TV to ensure that the set-top box has been installed, and they can also check the channel lineup with this HDMI tester.

This HDMI display tester is made with a tempered glass display that is scratch and shatter resistant. It is also resistant to dirt, water, and shock. It contains a hybrid dual layer of silicone rubber and plastic with a ruggedized housing. The tester has two HDMI input / output ports for cable continuity tests, and it has an additional HDMI port to connect to the set-top box, totaling three HDMI ports.

This handheld HDMI tester is patented and contains one micro USB port for the 2300mAH battery, which provides the technician (or any user) with 3-4 hours of use time, as per US PATENT 9,565,427.
