This versatile tester aids the installer and troubleshooter in analyzing and testing residential and small/medium business (SMB) Wireless Networks.

The Wireless Tester features an IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac dual-band radio with virtual-simultaneous dual-band operation, supporting both 2.4x GHz and 5.0x GHz scanning on devices with dual-band Wi-Fi. It offers single-stream spatial multiplexing up to 433.3 Mbps data rate and supports 20, 40, 80MHz channels with optional SGI (256-QAM modulation) for received.

Through the site survey feature, the Wireless Tester displays each AP's beacon signal strength and channel, indicating how Wireless channels in the 2.4x GHz ISM band overlap with one another. It also shows how the AP's channel and relative beacon signal strength are distributed across different channels, with most APs typically found on channels 1, 6, and 11, and a few on other available channels.

The Wireless Tester lists all wireless APs in the Wi-Fi environment, along with their SSID, MAC address, frequency, channel, beacon signal strength (-dBm), and security configuration such as WPA or WPA2. It provides comprehensive channel ratings with ACI (Adjacent Channel Interference), CCC (Co-Channel Contention), dBm, and SNR (Signal-to-Noise-Ratio) values, indicating good strong signal without interference with Bad, Fair, Good status for the AP (Access Point) Signal Strength.

Designed for easy setup and troubleshooting, the Wireless Tester allows anyone to power up and connect the device with the LCD display effortlessly. Within minutes, users can set up a new system or troubleshoot a problem in a new or existing system. The device operates in stand-alone mode and does not require connection to an Access Point (AP).

The Wireless Tester is suitable for analyzing and testing residential and small/medium business (SMB) Wireless Networks, and it is designed to help search for the best wireless channels available and determine the level of interference (noise floor) when installing or troubleshooting wireless LAN connections. The device also assists with the location for a "signal booster" and mesh-ons.
